I really want some coffee this morning, but there are people standing near the pot talking. socializing, not work-related. i don't really want to talk to them. after all, i haven't had any coffee yet.
One person refers to his kids as "the daughter" and "the son." kind of strange.
Seriously, how much small talk can two people make?
